Eight years down the line, the actor is now spilling some lesser-known details from the big day, including a special song he specifically requested to be played during the celebrations.The singer, in an interview, shared that Lee Ann Womack’s hit song ‘I Hope You Dance’ held special significance on their wedding day.

Speaking to People, Jonas explained that the song was chosen for a deeply personal reason. “It’s a great song,” he said and went on to add, “And my mother [Denise] and I had our first mother-son dance to that song and it reminds me of my childhood.”Reflecting on the moment, he added, “It was a good one. It’s a classic.”The mother-son dance took place after he shared his first dance with wife Priyanka to the Roberta Flack classic ballad ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’. Earlier this year, Jonas also revealed the song he considers the ultimate choice for a wedding playlist. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at the premiere of ‘Power Ballad’ during the SXSW Conference & Festivals in Austin, Texas, the singer named a Bryan Adams classic as his favourite wedding anthem. “There are so many. One that I go to all the time is probably Bryan Adams’ ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It for You,’ ” Jonas said.

Jonas is currently promoting ‘Power Ballad’ which arrives in theatres on June 5. Directed by John Carney, the musical comedy stars Jonas as Danny Wilson, a famous singer whose life becomes intertwined with that of Rick, a struggling wedding singer played by Paul Rudd.According to the film’s official synopsis, “Rick (Rudd), a washed-up wedding singer, and Danny, a fading boy band star, bond over music and a late-night jam session.
