TN SSLC Result 2026: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has released the district-wise performance data along with the TN SSLC Result 2026. The state recorded an overall pass percentage of 94.31 per cent in the Class 10 public examinations, slightly improving from last year’s 93.80 per cent.More than 8.70 lakh students appeared for the SSLC examinations conducted between March 11 and April 6 this year. Students can now check their provisional marksheets online through the official result portals.
Tamil Nadu Class 10 Result 2026: Pudukottai secures top position
Pudukottai emerged as the best-performing district in Tamil Nadu by recording a pass percentage of 97.57 per cent in the SSLC examinations. Sivagangai followed closely with 97.54 per cent, while Thanjavur secured the third position with 97.41 per cent.Trichy recorded 97.31 per cent, and Kanyakumari registered 97.30 per cent in the district-wise performance table released by the board after the declaration of results.
TN 10th Result: Chennai placed 29th in state rankings
Chennai secured the 29th position among districts with an overall pass percentage of 92.34 per cent. The district recorded lower performance compared to several southern and central Tamil Nadu districts that crossed the 95 per cent mark this year.Other districts including Tiruvallore, Chengalpattu and Vellore also recorded pass percentages below the overall state average.
TN Results 10th 2026: Government school performance data released
Among government schools, Sivagangai secured the top position with a pass percentage of 97.42 per cent. Pudukottai followed with 97.09 per cent, while Thanjavur recorded 96.89 per cent in the government school category.The state’s overall government school pass percentage stood at 91.86 per cent this year. A total of 1,931 government schools secured 100 per cent results in the SSLC examinations.
Tamil Nadu SSLC result 2026: Thousands of schools cross 95 per cent result mark
The board data showed that 5,171 schools achieved a 100 per cent pass percentage this year. In addition, 8,233 schools secured pass percentages above 95 per cent, including 3,463 government schools.Tamil Nadu also recorded strong performances from private schools, which secured the highest overall pass percentage among school categories at 98.14 per cent.
