The Defence Research and Development Organisation (Defence Research and Development Organisation) has released a new notification for paid internship opportunities at its Hyderabad-based laboratory, Research Centre Imarat (Research Centre Imarat).RCI is one of the premier laboratories of DRDO and works as a major avionics hub for India’s missile and defence programmes. It develops advanced avionics systems used in defence technologies.
About the Internship
RCI is inviting applications from bright and eligible final-year students for a paid internship programme of minimum 6 months. The internship will be conducted at RCI/DYSL-AT/DSP, Hyderabad. A total of 160 internship vacancies have been announced under this recruitment. These positions are divided across different engineering and science disciplines under Category (a) and Category (b).
Who can apply?
Students who are eligible include:
- B.Tech students in 7th and 8th semester
- Postgraduate students in Engineering and Science (Physics/Chemistry only)
- Candidates must have a strong academic record from a recognised Indian university/institute
Available branches:
- Computer Science Engineering (CSE), AI/ML, Cyber Security
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE/ECE-related)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Materials / Chemical Engineering
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Safety Engineering
Stipend details
Monthly stipend is ₹5,000 per month. It will only be paid if the intern attends at least 15 working days per month.Payment will be given in two instalments. First, after 3 months, and second after completion of 6 months.

- No boarding or lodging will be provided
- Internship certificate will be given only after successful completion
- If a candidate leaves midway, no certificate or stipend will be issued
- Selected students will be informed through email only
- Minimum attendance requirement is mandatory during internship
