Priyadarshini Mallick, daughter of former West Bengal minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Jyotipriya Mallick, has been removed from her position as secretary of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), the body responsible for conducting Higher Secondary examinations in the state. According to an IANS report citing an official letter, she was earlier asked to resign as part of a departmental restructuring exercise. However, she did not step down from the post, after which the council decided to remove her.
