The 85-year-old allegedly died by suicide after jumping into the Adyar river.According to a report by Tamil OneIndia, K Rajan leapt into the river from the Adyar bridge in Chennai. Fire and rescue personnel later recovered his body and sent it to a hospital. In 2000, he served as the president of the Chennai Film Distributors Association. His son, Prabhukanth, also entered the Tamil film industry as an actor.K Rajan was especially known for his blunt and fearless speeches at audio launches and public events.
